FRANCE

Heavy rainfall and flooding in southern France

Heavy rainfall and flooding are currently affecting several regions in southern France. The departments of Gard (30), Hérault (34), Bouches-du-Rhône (13), Var (83), Vaucluse (84), and Ardèche (07) are particularly impacted.

Several motorways and local roads are partially closed or difficult to access due to flooding. The areas around Nîmes, Lunel, Vauvert, Marseille, and the Petite Camargue region are experiencing the most significant disruptions.

As a result, collection and delivery services may be delayed in the affected areas.

We are doing everything possible to minimize the impact on our services and thank you for your understanding.

Spain

Heavy rainfall affecting parcel operations

Severe rainfall across parts of South Valencia, North Alicante and the Balearic Islands is impacting parcel operations. Road closures and local flooding are affecting accessibility in certain areas, which may result in delays to collections and deliveries. Our teams are working to minimise disruption and restore normal service as quickly as possible.

Customers may experience delays in the following regions:

• South Valencia
• North Alicante
• Mallorca
• Ibiza
• Menorca
• Formentera

ITALY

Disruptions across the GLS Italy network

The GLS network in Italy is currently experiencing significant operational disruptions. Two hubs have become completely inoperative due to haulier protests. In addition, several other locations are facing full or partial operational restrictions caused by internal strikes and technical issues, resulting in backlogs across the network.

At the international hub in Sordio, an exceptionally high volume of shipments requiring specific handling is causing additional delays, preventing the full processing of several international transport units.

It is currently no longer possible to dispatch shipments to, or schedule pickups in, the Campania region (80XXX, 81XXX, 82XXX, 83XXX and 84XXX).

Furthermore, several depots in Calabria, Sicily and Campania, as well as in the areas of Foggia, Potenza and Stradella, are experiencing delays in both collections and deliveries.

The most significant delays are currently reported in:

• Napoli (80XXX)
• Modena (41XXX)
• Roma (00XXX)
• Siena (53XXX)
• Pavia (27XXX)
• Sestu (09XXX)

As a result, collections and deliveries in the affected areas may be delayed.

Ireland

Nationwide strike and protests affecting parcel operations
A planned 24-hour strike by Ireland's public service unions and nationwide protests on 14 October may lead to disruptions across the Irish parcel network. As a result, collections and deliveries may be delayed.

GLS Ireland will make every effort to minimise disruption and prioritise deliveries where possible. Any undelivered freight will be staged for delivery on 15 October.

Due to the situation in the Middle East, the following countries are not currently served:

• United Arab Emirates
• Iraq
• Iran
• Kuwait
• Lebanon
• Qatar.
