Which GLS delivery services can I offer my customers?
Depending on the CMS you use and your GLS offer, you can provide different GLS delivery options, including:
- Home delivery (BusinessParcel)
- Flexible delivery with notifications, rescheduling options and location tracking on the delivery day (FlexDeliveryService)
- Delivery to a GLS ParcelShop or locker (ShopDeliveryService)
- Express delivery (Express)

What integration solutions are available for my e-commerce website?
GLS offers dedicated modules for the main e-commerce platforms:

These modules let you offer different GLS delivery options at checkout, display nearby parcel shops in real time, generate shipping labels and track shipments directly from your back office.
Installation takes place directly in your e-commerce platform, with guided setup using your GLS credentials. Once the module is activated, you can quickly offer GLS delivery services to your customers and manage shipments from your back office.
Do GLS e-commerce modules automatically retrieve shipping information?
Yes. The modules synchronize your e-commerce store with GLS, including:
- Generating shipping and return labels
- Automatically retrieving tracking numbers
- Automatically updating order statuses (shipped, out for delivery, delivered, etc.)
- Tracking parcels directly from your e-commerce platform
- Synchronizing shipping information for your teams and customers
Can GLS modules handle returns?
Yes. GLS solutions for Shopify, Magento, PrestaShop and WooCommerce include return label generation to simplify customer returns.
Depending on the CMS and configuration, return labels can be generated individually or in batches.
Do I need to be a GLS customer to use the GLS e-commerce modules?
Yes. You need a GLS France business contract to access shipping services, tracking features and transport label generation through the modules.
What are the maximum parcel dimensions and weight?
To be accepted by GLS, a parcel must not exceed:
- Length: 200 cm
- Width: 80 cm
- Height: 60 cm
- Maximum girth: 300 cm (2 × height + 2 × width + length)
The maximum parcel weight is 30 kg for domestic and international shipments, subject to certain local exceptions.
How are shipments to Europe, the UK, the US and other international destinations handled?
GLS supports businesses shipping to 160 destinations across Europe and worldwide.
International shipments benefit from solutions tailored to cross-border flows, including parcel tracking and support with the required formalities, depending on the destination country.

How long does it take to start shipping with GLS?
Once your quote has been approved and your GLS contract signed, your account can generally be activated and ready for shipping within 48 hours, so you can start shipping for your business quickly.
